hanime.tv AI subtitles

While hanime.tv focuses on English-subtitled hentai streams, millions of viewers prefer reading subtitles in Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, Thai, or German, and fresh uploads occasionally appear raw. MiraiSub overlays AI-translated subtitles in your native language.

What the site is

Hosted at hanime.tv, the platform is built as a client-side Vue/Nuxt single-page web application using /videos/hentai/<slug> watch routes and a custom HLS adaptive player. Clicking Episode 2 or selecting a related title in the sidebar transitions the route dynamically without reloading the document, while site entry is guarded by interactive Cloudflare browser checks.

Are subtitles available?

Nearly all catalog releases on hanime.tv burn English fansubs directly into the video frames, leaving Vietnamese, Indonesian, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and Chinese viewers without native-language captions. Rather than translating English subtitles a second time, MiraiSub listens directly to the original Japanese voice acting and produces natural subtitles in more than a dozen languages.

How to use the extension on this site

  1. Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
  2. Open the video page and start playing.
  3. Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
  • Open hanime.tv in your regular desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave) or Kiwi Browser on Android, pass any Cloudflare verification prompt once, and open a /videos/hentai/<slug> episode.
  • Click the server/play control on the main player so the HLS video stream initializes inside the watch container.
  • The dedicated hanimetv adapter locks onto the episode slug from /videos/hentai/<slug> and ignores non-episode routes such as /browse, /playlists, or /search.
  • Click the MiraiSub badge on the player corner, select your target subtitle language, and let speech recognition plus LLM translation stream cues onto the screen.
  • Turn on the Classic solid background pill in MiraiSub style settings and align vertical offset so your native-language captions cleanly cover the burned-in English text.
  • When you click the next episode in a franchise playlist inside hanime.tv's SPA interface, the adapter detects the slug change and loads a fresh subtitle track automatically.

Good to know

  • Supported status (checked 2026-11-01): hanime.tv enforces interactive Cloudflare Turnstile challenges that block headless automated smoke browsers; in a real user browser session with the full extension installed, /videos/hentai/ routes attach normally.
  • Single-page route transitions between episodes automatically rotate the content key so cues from Episode 1 never linger on Episode 2.

Subtitle languages

Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.

FAQ

Why is hanime.tv marked Supported instead of Verified?

We follow a strict evidence rule: a site is only marked Verified when our test runner captures end-to-end live subtitle screenshots without manual intervention. Because hanime.tv blocks automated browsers behind Cloudflare Turnstile, we list it transparently as Supported.

Can I get Vietnamese, Spanish, or Indonesian subtitles on hanime.tv?

Yes. Choose Vietnamese, Spanish, Indonesian, Portuguese, Thai, or any supported target language in the extension popup and MiraiSub translates straight from the Japanese audio.

Does clicking Episode 2 inside hanime.tv's single-page app update subtitles?

Yes. The adapter observes SPA history navigation under /videos/hentai/ and immediately detaches the previous episode's cues when the slug changes.

How do I stop burned-in English subtitles from clashing with my language?

Choose an opaque dark background box in MiraiSub's appearance menu and adjust font size and bottom offset so your subtitle pill sits directly over the burned-in English band.

Does hanime.tv work with MiraiSub on Android phones?

Yes. Open hanime.tv in Kiwi Browser on Android with the private MiraiSub build installed, complete the normal Cloudflare check once, and tap the badge on the video player.

Install the extension

Install once, then open any supported page. Subtitles appear over the player you are already watching.

Dedicated site adapters are part of the full build; the Store build uses the generic video detector.
