VLXX AI subtitles

VLXX is one of the highest-traffic regional JAV portals in Southeast Asia, hosting thousands of Japanese titles via fast VLStream HLS servers. MiraiSub generates fresh AI subtitles on unsubbed uploads or translates any video into English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, or Spanish.

What the site is

Hosted on rotating domains such as vlxx.phd, VLXX uses compact watch URLs (/xem-phim/<slug>/<id>/) and streams adaptive HLS video inside a dedicated cross-origin iframe served from play.vlstream.net with server selector buttons (#server-1, #server-2) below the frame.

Are subtitles available?

Many VLXX uploads burn Vietnamese fansubs into the image, while raw or newly uploaded titles lack captions, and non-Vietnamese viewers visiting VLXX for its fast CDN speeds cannot read burned-in Vietnamese text. MiraiSub listens directly to the original Japanese audio stream so anyone can read accurate subtitles in their preferred language.

How to use the extension on this site

  1. Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
  2. Open the video page and start playing.
  3. Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
  • Open a watch page on vlxx.phd and press play inside the embedded play.vlstream.net video player.
  • The vlxx adapter links the parent watch URL with the cross-origin play.vlstream.net iframe so each film ID holds a single clean subtitle track.
  • Click the MiraiSub subtitle badge on the player corner and pick Vietnamese, English, Indonesian, Spanish, or another target language.
  • If the video already has burned-in Vietnamese captions and you are reading in English or Spanish, enable the Classic opaque background box in style settings.
  • Switching between Server 1 and Server 2 on the VLXX page keeps the same film key so your generated cues stay synchronized.

Good to know

  • Verified on real playback: live translated subtitle cues confirmed inside play.vlstream.net embeds on desktop and Android Kiwi Browser.
  • Cross-origin communication between vlxx.phd and play.vlstream.net prevents duplicate badges or ad-frame attachment.
  • Compact pagination and low DOM overhead on VLXX make it especially responsive on budget Android phones running Kiwi Browser over Wi-Fi or 4G.

Subtitle languages

Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.

FAQ

Does MiraiSub work inside VLXX's play.vlstream.net iframe?

Yes. play.vlstream.net is explicitly registered as VLXX's player host, allowing seamless audio capture and fullscreen overlay rendering.

Can I get English or Indonesian subtitles on VLXX videos that have Vietnamese hard-subs?

Yes. MiraiSub transcribes the original Japanese voice track rather than translating the Vietnamese text, and its opaque subtitle pill covers the bottom hard-subs cleanly.

What if VLXX changes its domain extension?

Known VLXX domains and play.vlstream.net are updated regularly, and you can flag any new mirror directly from the extension's Report button.

Does VLXX work well on Android phones?

Yes. VLXX's lightweight mobile layout and JWPlayer/HLS embed run smoothly inside Kiwi Browser on Android with full landscape subtitle scaling.

Does switching Server 1 / Server 2 consume extra credits?

No. Both servers share the same film identifier on the watch page, reusing already generated cues.

What happens when I skip ahead 30 minutes into a long VLXX film?

MiraiSub tracks your playhead inside play.vlstream.net and prioritizes transcribing the segment you jumped to so you don't wait for skipped chapters.

Why didn't category or actor pages on VLXX show a subtitle button?

Listing pages only show static poster grids without a video player. Open a specific film watch URL (/xem-phim/...) to launch play.vlstream.net and see the badge.

Install the extension

Install once, then open any supported page. Subtitles appear over the player you are already watching.

Dedicated site adapters are part of the full build; the Store build uses the generic video detector.
