What the site is
PerfectGirls (perfectgirls.xxx) shows a clip at an address of the form /video/<id>/. The film plays in a Fluid Player element with the id my-video. The same page can hold many other video elements: thumbnail previews, previews for creators and files from ad networks.
Are subtitles available?
The site has no subtitles. They are generated from the audio by the extension.
How to use the extension on this site
- Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
- Open the video page and start playing.
- Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
- Open a clip and press play. The id in the address, for example 797640, is the key.
- Before using it, the extension checks the canonical link and the og:url tag. If they disagree, there is no key.
- Only the element my-video is the film. In our measurement it played from a blob address, which means that the player assembles the stream in memory rather than loading a plain file.
- All other video elements are advertisements or previews. In the measurement, 27 of them were mp4 clips from an ad network or hover previews, and each one was classified as an ad.
- A post-roll block of the player, the player's VAST ads and any source on an ad network are also marked as ads, even when they appear inside the player.
- An address from an ad network is checked explicitly, so a clip that was once judged to be the film is not trusted blindly.
Good to know
- Beta: the key and the ad verdicts were correct on a real page. We have not run the full extension, and a stream that is built in memory may need another way of finding its address. That was not tested.
- One of two page loads timed out because of the network; it was not a block by the site.
- Live VAST ads were not seen during the measurement.
Subtitle languages
Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.
FAQ
Why are there so many video elements on one page?
Many thumbnails create a preview clip, and the page loads ads. The extension ignores everything but the main player.
What does a blob address mean?
The player puts the stream together in the browser. It means there is no simple file link to read.
Will an ad inside the player get subtitles?
No. Ads inside the player area are flagged and skipped.
Why is it still Beta?
The full path through the extension has not been run on the live site.
Do I need to change any setting?
No. Open a clip and the adapter is chosen by the host name.
