What the site is
xHamster is a large international video site with many mirror domains (xhamster.com, xhamster3.com, xhamster19.com, xhamster.desi and others). Videos use addresses ending in an id, in the form /videos/<title>-<id>, and there is an embed form at /embed/<id>. The player sits in the main page rather than in a frame.
Are subtitles available?
Uploads normally have no subtitle track. The extension generates subtitles from the audio.
How to use the extension on this site
- Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
- Open the video page and start playing.
- Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
- Open the video and press play. Ad video can run first on the same player; the extension does not create subtitles on the ad.
- The video is recognised by the id at the end of the address, and checked against the page data. If they disagree, the extension does nothing instead of guessing.
- For the stream, the extension looks for the real master playlist because the generic method can pick the wrong sub-playlist on this site.
- The page data holds a flag saying whether the site runs pre-roll ads at all. The adapter reads it as a hint, not as a way to recognise any single video element.
- Ad detection works by an allow-list: only the main player element, outside the areas the site marks as ad containers and with a source that is not from an ad network, counts as the film.
- The master playlist is found from a preload link in the page or from the list of files the browser has already requested. If neither shows it, the extension falls back to the general method.
Good to know
- Beta: in the 2026-10-22 test a looping pre-roll ad kept the film from starting under our automated browser, so neither the title lock nor subtitles were confirmed. It has not been tested live on its own.
- Domains measured as working: xhamster.com, xhamster3.com, xhamster19.com, xhamster.desi and xhamster1.desi. The site's numbered mirrors follow a naming pattern that the address check accepts, but each has not been opened.
- Language subdomains are accepted by the address check. In our measurement es.xhamster.com redirected to the main domain and de.xhamster.com timed out, so those are not confirmed.
- The embed form was confirmed to load and carry the video id, but the player inside it was not seen within the few seconds we waited, so only the id is certain there.
Subtitle languages
Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.

Does it work on xHamster?
An adapter exists and is unit-tested, but we could not confirm it in a real run yet, so it is marked beta.
Why might the badge be missing during the ad?
Ads are skipped on purpose; the badge belongs to the film.
Do mirror domains work?
The mirrors listed in the adapter are covered; other mirrors may use the generic detector.
Why does the adapter look for a master playlist?
Here the generic stream picker can choose a playlist for a single quality level or for something that is not the film. Reading the master playlist from the page gives the full stream, and the generic path is only a backup.
What does "pre-roll ad loop" mean in the status note?
In our automated browser, the ad before the film kept replaying and the film never started, so we could not observe a subtitle. A real browser session by a person may behave differently, which is why we call it beta rather than broken.
What happens if the address and the page disagree about the video?
The extension returns no video at all. Showing no subtitles is safer than attaching one film's subtitles to another.
Can I pick a different target language?
Yes. Choose any language the translation service supports, for example English, Spanish, Indonesian or Vietnamese, in the extension.
