AVJoy English subtitles

AVJoy has an English edition of its pages, but that only translates the menus and titles, not what is said in the films. MiraiSub covers the dialogue by turning the audio into subtitles over the player.

What the site is

AVJoy (avjoy.me) is an adult-video streaming site with three editions: the main site, cn.avjoy.me in Chinese and en.avjoy.me in English. A film page has the form /video/{number}/{slug}. The number identifies the film and stays the same in every edition, while the slug is translated, so one film can have several different-looking addresses. The player is video.js and lives directly in the page; the frames on AVJoy pages are ads.

Are subtitles available?

AVJoy does not offer dependable English subtitles, and the English edition only changes the interface. MiraiSub produces subtitles from the soundtrack itself, so the language of the page does not matter.

How to use the extension on this site

  1. Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
  2. Open the video page and start playing.
  3. Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
  • Open a film page on avjoy.me, cn.avjoy.me or en.avjoy.me and start the video.js player.
  • The extension takes the number after /video/ as the film ID. The translated slug is ignored, so the Chinese and English editions of the same film share one set of subtitles.
  • Before trusting the address, it checks the page itself: the main player element must be present, and both the canonical link and the video_id value in the page script must give the same number. If either is missing or different, nothing is started.
  • AVJoy films are tracked by that number, not by a product code, so subtitles stay under AVJoy.
  • Native ad widgets, model cards with small autoplay clips and the ad blocks around the player are recognised and ignored. Any video inside a frame is treated as an ad, since the film always plays in the main page.
  • A video element that is not the main player is never treated as the film, however long it is.
  • Pre-roll ads have not been measured on AVJoy, so the adapter never states that the main player is ad-free. The general filters still apply, for example to clips that are too short to be the film.

Good to know

  • Verified: subtitles appeared on a real AVJoy title during our test on 2026-10-23.
  • Every subdomain of avjoy.me is accepted, so the cn. and en. editions work the same as the main site.
  • Category and search pages, and any address that is not /video/{number}, are not film pages and get no badge.

Subtitle languages

Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.

FAQ

Does AVJoy have English subtitles?

Not as a reliable feature. MiraiSub generates English subtitles from the audio of the film you are playing.

Do subtitles carry over between en.avjoy.me and cn.avjoy.me?

Yes. Both editions use the same video number for a film, and that number is the key, so the subtitles are shared.

Why are the small autoplay clips around the player ignored?

They belong to ad widgets and model cards. Only the main video.js player can be the film.

What if the page has not finished loading?

The extension waits until the player, the canonical link and the video number in the page script all agree. Until then it does nothing.

Is AVJoy verified?

Yes. Subtitle lines appeared on a real title in our test on 2026-10-23. If something changes later, send a report with the film address.

Which languages can I pick?

English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Indonesian, Vietnamese and the other targets offered in the extension.

Install the extension

Install once, then open any supported page. Subtitles appear over the player you are already watching.

Dedicated site adapters are part of the full build; the Store build uses the generic video detector.
