Most YouPorn uploads are in English, with a fair share in Japanese, German, Spanish and other languages, and almost none come with a subtitle track. If you would rather read along in your own language, the extension listens to the audio, writes a transcript and translates it into the language you pick, then draws the lines on top of the player while the video runs.

What the site is

YouPorn is one of the long-running international tube sites. A video page has an address of the form /watch/{number}/{optional-title}/, and the number is what identifies the video. There is also an embeddable version at /embed/{number}/ that uses the same number. The player sits directly in the page, inside a container the site calls #videoContainer, rather than in a frame from another host. The main domain is youporn.com, and the language versions on subdomains such as de. and jp. show the same number for the same video.

Are subtitles available?

There is normally no subtitle file to switch on, in English or anything else. Everything you see from the extension is generated from the audio and then translated, so names and slang can occasionally come out wrong.

How to use the extension on this site

  1. Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
  2. Open the video page and start playing.
  3. Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
  • Open any video page. On the first visit the site asks you to confirm your age; do that yourself as usual, the extension never clicks it.
  • Press play. The number in the address is read and compared with the page's own records: the og:url tag, the canonical link and a data attribute on the watch container. All of them have to name the same number, otherwise the extension stays quiet rather than risk labelling the wrong video.
  • A pre-roll ad can play first inside the very same player element. While the player shows its ad-roll state, or while the source comes from the site's pre-roll path or a known ad network, the badge does not appear.
  • Another safeguard catches ads that are hard to spot by class name: if a clip under a minute plays while the page declares a video of two minutes or more, it is treated as an advertisement.
  • Hover previews on the home page and in listings are separate small video elements. They are ignored.
  • Once the real stream is loaded into the main player, the badge shows up and subtitles start appearing a short while later, then keep pace as you watch.

Good to know

  • Verified: subtitles appeared on a real title during our test on 2026-10-22.
  • Covered domains: youporn.com and its subdomains, including the language versions. youporn.org currently leads to an unrelated site and is not covered.
  • Opening another video is handled as a normal page load. We did not observe the site swapping videos inside the page without reloading, so there is no special logic for that case.

Subtitle languages

Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.

FAQ

Can I get YouPorn videos with subtitles in Spanish, Indonesian or another language?

Yes. Pick the target language in the extension before or during playback. English, Spanish, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, Vietnamese and the other languages offered by the translation service are available.

Does it work when the original audio is Japanese rather than English?

Yes. The speech is transcribed in its original language first and translated afterwards, so a Japanese upload can be read in English or any other target you choose.

Why did nothing appear during the first seconds?

That was probably the pre-roll. The extension waits until the actual video is in the player, because subtitling an advertisement would be useless and would confuse the session.

Does it work on de.youporn.com or jp.youporn.com?

Yes. Those language versions were checked and use the same video number as the main site, so the same subtitles apply.

What about a YouPorn video embedded on another page?

The embed address /embed/{number}/ is recognised. Embed pages carry fewer records, so the number in the address is accepted as long as the page does not contradict it.

Does the extension download or store the video?

No. Nothing is saved to your device; you keep watching in the site's own player, with subtitle text drawn on top.
