What the site is
RedTube is a large tube site with regional editions. Besides redtube.com and its language subdomains (de., fr., es., it., pl., ru., jp. and others), there are redtube.com.br for Brazil and redtube.net for parts of South Asia. A video page address is simply a slash followed by a number of six to twelve digits, with no title text. Other sites embed RedTube videos through a frame from embed.redtube.com that carries the same number as an id parameter.
Are subtitles available?
RedTube does not offer subtitle files for its uploads. The text you read comes entirely from speech recognition plus machine translation.
How to use the extension on this site
- Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
- Open the video page and start playing.
- Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
- Open a video page, accept the age notice yourself if it appears, and start playback.
- The numeric id in the address is matched against several marks inside the page: the player block named playerDiv_{id}, the canonical link, the og:url tag and the embed address in the structured data. When they disagree the extension does not guess.
- Playlist links add a pkey parameter to the address. It is ignored, so a video opened from a playlist keeps the same id as when it is opened directly.
- Pre-roll advertising runs in the same player element as the film. While the player is in its ad-roll state and has not yet switched to the main stream, and whenever the source points to the pre-roll server, the ad banner network or a hover preview file, no badge is shown.
- For the audio, the extension prefers the master playlist that the player itself has already requested from the RedTube video servers. The general detection method tended to pick an unrelated file on this site, which is why the adapter supplies the stream directly.
- If no such playlist is visible yet, the page address is sent instead and the stream is located on the server side.
Good to know
- Verified: subtitles appeared on a real title during our test on 2026-10-24.
- Inside an embed frame on someone else's page, the extension recognises the id but makes no decision of its own about which video is an ad; the general rules apply there, because we did not have a captured embed page to test against.
- Moving to a different video reloads the page on this site, so each video starts its own subtitle session.
Subtitle languages
Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.

Which languages can RedTube videos be translated into?
Any target the translation service offers. English, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, Japanese, French, Vietnamese and others are available from the extension menu.
Does it work on redtube.com.br and redtube.net?
Yes. Both regional domains and the language subdomains of redtube.com use the same numeric ids, and all of them are covered.
Why is the first part of playback skipped?
RedTube can play a short advertisement in the main player before the video. The extension recognises that phase and waits for the actual stream.
Will the subtitles follow me through a playlist?
Each video in a playlist loads as its own page with its own id, so each one gets its own subtitles. The playlist parameter in the address does not change which video is recognised.
Are the subtitles accurate?
They are machine generated. Clear speech usually comes out well; music, overlapping voices or whispering can produce gaps or odd wording.
Do I need an account on RedTube?
No. The extension works on the public video pages and does not sign in anywhere on the site.
