What the site is
HoHoJ (hohoj.tv) is a streaming site for Japanese adult video. A watch page is opened at /video?id={number}. That page has no video element of its own: the film plays in a frame from the same site at /embed?id={number}, using a media-chrome player with HLS streaming. Page titles include a product code, but its format is not consistent across titles.
Are subtitles available?
English subtitles are not offered on HoHoJ. The extension produces subtitles from the speech in the video, in whichever language you choose.
How to use the extension on this site
- Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
- Open the video page and start playing.
- Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
- Open a watch page at /video?id={number} and start the player. The extension attaches to the /embed frame inside that page.
- The number is the key, and it has to match twice: the id in the embed frame and the id in the watch page around it must be the same. If they differ, nothing starts.
- The main watch page never creates a subtitle job by itself, because the film is not there.
- Ad frames on HoHoJ come from other hosts, so they do not match the embed path on hohoj.tv and are not taken for the player.
- Search results, the model list and the home page have no /video?id= address and get no badge.
- Clicking another video loads a new watch page with a new id, so a new subtitle session begins.
Good to know
- Verified: subtitles appeared on a real title during our test on 2026-10-23.
- The product code in the page title is not used as a key, since it does not follow a stable format here. Each id has its own subtitles.
- Recognised host: hohoj.tv and its subdomains.
Subtitle languages
Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.
FAQ
Does HoHoJ have English subtitles?
No. The extension creates English subtitles from the audio of the video that plays.
Can I open the /embed address directly?
You can watch it, but the extension needs the surrounding /video?id= page to confirm the title, so open the video from its watch page.
Why does the badge sit on the frame rather than the page?
On HoHoJ the film itself lives in the site's embed frame. The page around it holds the details and the ads.
Is the product code used to share subtitles across sites?
No. The code in HoHoJ titles is not consistent enough, so the numeric id is the only key.
Do pop-up ads affect the subtitles?
They open in other windows or frames on other hosts, which the extension does not treat as the film.
Which target languages are offered?
English, Indonesian, Spanish and the other languages listed in the extension settings.
