AIRAV is mostly browsed in Chinese, and English text is not something you can count on. MiraiSub turns the audio of the title you are watching into subtitles in your own language.

What the site is

AIRAV (airav.io) is a streaming site for Japanese adult video with a mainly Chinese-language interface. A title is opened at /video?hid={value}, where the hid is the site's own catalogue reference, for example a short letter prefix followed by numbers. The product code of the release appears on the card and in the page title, not in the address. The www form redirects to airav.io, and other domains we tried sent visitors to airav.io as well.

Are subtitles available?

Whether a given AIRAV title carries any subtitles, and in which language, varies. The extension does not depend on that: it creates the lines from the audio and places them over the playing video.

How to use the extension on this site

  1. Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
  2. Open the video page and start playing.
  3. Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
  • Open a title so that the address reads /video?hid=… and start playback. The title is identified on the main page itself.
  • The hid value is the key. The extension also reads the canonical link and the og:url tag; every one that is present must point to the same hid, otherwise no job is started.
  • The home page, lists, tags, posts and actor pages have no hid in the address, so they are never treated as a film, even though they are full of title links.
  • A centred overlay ad and ExoClick native widgets with short looping clips appear on the site. Videos inside these blocks, and clips served from the known ad and preview hosts, are marked as advertising.
  • If the same hid appears twice in an address with different values, the extension cannot tell which title is meant and does nothing rather than guess.
  • The product code is not used to share subtitles with other sites, because it is not part of the address. Each hid has its own subtitles.

  • Verified: subtitles appeared on a real title during our test on 2026-10-24.
  • AIRAV may show a Cloudflare check before the page opens. Pass it in your own browser as usual; the extension starts once the watch page has loaded.

Subtitle languages

Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.

FAQ

Does AIRAV have English subtitles?

Not reliably. With the extension, English subtitles are generated from the audio of any title that plays.

What is the hid in the address?

It is AIRAV's own reference for a title. The extension keys subtitles to it, so reopening the same hid later finds the same subtitles.

Why did the small looping videos not get a badge?

They are native ad widgets or previews from advertising hosts. Only the film on a /video?hid= page is followed.

I see a 'please wait' screen first. Is that the extension?

No. That is the site's own Cloudflare check. The extension does not interact with it and simply waits for the watch page.

Does the extension use the product code shown on the card?

No. The code is only in the title text, not the address, so the hid is the only identifier used.

Which language should I choose?

Pick the one you read best: English, Indonesian, Spanish or another language from the settings. The spoken audio is usually Japanese.
