NJAV / 123AV English subtitles

NJAV and 123AV list many titles without English subtitles. The extension transcribes the audio and shows translated subtitles over the embedded player.

What the site is

NJAV and 123AV are Japanese adult-video indexes that share a layout. There are two families: 123av.com / njav.tv, a single-page site, and njav.org, a WordPress site. In both, the film plays in a frame from another host. On the 123av family the frame comes from sadie-shop.site and each title page has an address like /en/v/<slug>; on njav.org the address is just /<slug>/ and the frame comes from cdn.missav.guide.

Are subtitles available?

Some titles carry subtitles in another language, but you cannot count on English. The extension generates the subtitles from the audio itself.

How to use the extension on this site

  1. Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
  2. Open the video page and start playing.
  3. Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
  • Open the title and start the player. On 123av and njav.tv the film sits in an embedded frame; the extension takes the title from the main page and the frame together, so subtitles match the film.
  • Because these pages are a single-page app, clicking another title does not reload the page. The extension notices the change and starts a new session for the new film.
  • Titles with several episodes are tracked per episode, so episode two never inherits the subtitles of episode one.
  • On njav.org a normal title is recognised by its product code; variants (for example leak or sub releases) are tracked under the page address instead.
  • Every video element on the main page of the 123av family is an advertisement or a preview, so the extension only attaches to the player frame and ignores the rest of the page.
  • During a title switch the address changes a fraction of a second before the new page content arrives. In that window the extension reports no film at all, instead of pairing the new address with the old frame.
  • On njav.org the frame carries a short code in its own address. The extension only accepts it when it matches the page slug, which prevents a stale frame from being credited to the next title.

Good to know

  • Supported: in the 2026-10-22 test the title was locked correctly on both families, including after switching titles, and a job started. We did not see subtitle lines on screen within the test window, so it is not marked verified.
  • njav.tv currently shows a notice that the site has moved to 123av.com, so 123av.com is the address most people will use. 123av.me is a second working mirror with the same layout.
  • The adapter lists four hosts: 123av.com, 123av.me, njav.tv and njav.org. Other clones are not assumed to work.

Subtitle languages

Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.

FAQ

Does it work on both 123av and njav?

Yes, the adapter covers 123av.com, 123av.me, njav.tv and njav.org.

What happens when I click a related title?

The extension detects the new title and creates a new subtitle session; lines from the previous title are cleared.

Is the video hosted by the extension?

No. The extension never hosts video. It adds subtitles on top of the player the site already provides.

Why does the same title sometimes show subtitles for only one episode?

Multi-episode titles use a separate player frame for each episode, and subtitles are stored per episode. Switch to the episode you want and start playback so that its own frame is the one being followed.

Is njav.org handled differently from 123av.com?

Yes. The two families are built differently: 123av is a single-page app that swaps content without reloading, while njav.org is an ordinary WordPress site where each title is a normal page. The adapter has separate logic for each and treats them accordingly.

Why is the status Supported rather than Verified?

Verified means we saw a subtitle line on screen in a real test. In our last run the title lock and the job both worked, but no line appeared within the time we watched, so we keep the lower label until that is observed.

Which target language should I pick?

Choose the language you want to read. The audio of these titles is Japanese, and the extension can translate it into English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and the other targets the translation service supports.

Install the extension

Install once, then open any supported page. Subtitles appear over the player you are already watching.

Dedicated site adapters are part of the full build; the Store build uses the generic video detector.
