Roshy subtitles with AI

Roshy is a WordPress index of Japanese titles where the film itself plays inside a frame from another host. The extension makes subtitles from the audio and writes them over that frame, in the language you choose.

What the site is

Roshy (roshy.tv) lists each title under an address of the form /video/<slug>/. The slug is either a product code followed by words, such as rctd-205, or a long run of digits. The main page has no video element when it loads. After you press the player, a frame opens from a host such as kamehaus.net, which runs a JW Player. The site also offers five mirrors of the same film, and the adapter knows all of them: vloe.tv, playmate.to, vidara.to, kamehamehaa.xyz and streamtape.com.

Are subtitles available?

The site does not promise subtitles for every title, and the track that comes with a film, when there is one, is not something the extension relies on. It builds its own lines from the audio, so a film with no track at all gets the same result as one with a track.

How to use the extension on this site

  1. Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
  2. Open the video page and start playing.
  3. Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
  • Open a title page. The extension decides which film it is from the address: a slug that starts with a product code gives that code, for example RCTD-205, and a slug made only of digits gives a key built from those digits.
  • The page must also confirm it. The extension checks that the page is a single-video page of the site's theme, that the player block is present and that the canonical link points to the same film. If any of these disagree, no key is made and nothing is attached.
  • Press the player. Before the film starts, the site may show an advertisement overlay with the label Advertisement and a Skip Ad button. The clip inside it is treated as an ad and never gets a subtitle badge.
  • Once the frame from the source host opens, the extension attaches to the film inside it. The frame address does not say which film it is, so the key and the product code are taken from the main page.
  • If you pick another mirror with the server buttons, the new frame is from one of the listed hosts and the same key continues to apply. The part of the address after a question mark does not change the key.
  • Clicking a different title loads a whole new page, which starts a new session and removes the lines of the previous film.

Good to know

  • Supported: on 2026-10-23 the adapter was run on real pages. The key was correct for both address types (RCTD-205 from a code slug, and a digits-only slug), the ad overlay was recognised, and in the frame from kamehaus.net the adapter turned on and found the film. We did not see a subtitle line on screen in that test, so the site is not marked verified.
  • The advertisement overlay appeared at most once an hour in our test, so we could not compare a session without it. The film itself is never inside the overlay.
  • Only roshy.tv is listed. Home pages, category pages and the bare /video/ list do not produce a key.

Subtitle languages

Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.

FAQ

Why is there no subtitle badge before I press play?

The page has no video element until you press the player. The extension waits for the source frame, because that is where the film actually plays.

I see an ad before the film. Will it be translated?

No. The clip in the advertisement overlay is recognised as an ad, so no lines are made for it. The subtitles start once the film frame is playing.

Does it work on the mirror servers?

The five mirror hosts the site offers are all known to the adapter, so choosing another server keeps the same film key. We only observed the original host playing in our test.

Some titles have a number instead of a code in the address. Is that a problem?

No. The adapter accepts a slug made of digits and uses it as the key. It simply cannot show the product code from the address in that case.

Does the extension download or store the film?

No. It does not host or save video. It places subtitle lines over the player that the page itself loads.

Install the extension

Install once, then open any supported page. Subtitles appear over the player you are already watching.

Dedicated site adapters are part of the full build; the Store build uses the generic video detector.
