What the site is
JAVSubbed (javsubbed.net) is built on the same kind of WordPress theme as JAVEnglish. A title lives directly under the root, at an address such as /<product code>-eng-sub-<slug>/, so there is no /video/ folder in between. The page shows a player area, but the film itself is served from another host in an iframe, for example streamtape.com or voe.sx.
Are subtitles available?
The label on the site promises English subtitles. Whether a title really has them, and how they are timed, is up to the uploader. The extension does not read those; it makes its own from the sound.
How to use the extension on this site
- Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
- Open the video page and start playing.
- Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
- Open the title, wait for the player area to appear and start the source you want. The extension finds the film from the page address, which starts with the product code, for example ALDN-548.
- In our measurement every video element on the main page of a title was an advertisement, four out of four. They are flagged as ads and left alone, which is why you will not see a badge on them.
- A small file called player.mp4, about half a megabyte and eight seconds long, is also loaded. It is a decoy rather than a player, so the extension skips it explicitly.
- When the film starts inside the source frame, the extension attaches to that frame and the subtitles are drawn over it, while the title still comes from the main page.
- If the address and the page title both name the same product code, the film is saved under that code. Otherwise a key made from the site name and the code is used, which keeps different titles apart.
- Pressing a related title loads a full new page and starts a clean session.
Good to know
- Supported: in the 2026-10-22 test the key was correct (ALDN-548) on a real title and all four main-page video elements were identified as ads. We did not see the film in a source frame and no subtitle line was observed, so there is no Verified label.
- The site's own scripts log VAST errors in the browser console. That comes from the page and not from the extension.
- The adapter lists one address only: javsubbed.net.
Subtitle languages
Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.
FAQ
Is JAVSubbed the same as JAVEnglish?
They use a similar theme and the same group of source hosts, so the adapters share most of their logic, but they are separate sites with separate addresses and separate keys.
What is the small mp4 that plays for a few seconds?
It is a placeholder clip of roughly eight seconds that the page loads before the real source. The extension ignores it so you do not get a subtitle session for a decoy.
Can I pick the output language?
Yes, in the extension. Choose the language you want to read; the audio is Japanese and the translation service handles English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and the other supported targets.
Why are there no subtitles right after the page opens?
Subtitles are created after the film starts playing in its frame. Before that, the page only holds ads and a decoy clip.
Does the extension keep a copy of the video?
No. Nothing is hosted or downloaded for you; the lines are drawn on top of the player that the site gives you.
