What the site is
VJAV (vjav.com) is a free tube site built around Japanese adult video. Every watch page has an address of the form /videos/{number}/{slug}/. The number is the site's internal id; the slug is a title typed by the uploader, so it can be a product code, a description, or both. The www form of the domain redirects to vjav.com. The film plays in a JW Player that sits directly in the page, not inside a frame from another host.
Are subtitles available?
For most uploads VJAV offers no subtitle menu at all, and you cannot assume an English track exists. The extension does not wait for one: it creates subtitles from the soundtrack while you watch, in the language you choose.
How to use the extension on this site
- Install the extension and sign in with your license key.
- Open the video page and start playing.
- Pick the subtitle language, then press the subtitle badge on the player.
- Open a watch page whose address looks like /videos/{number}/{slug}/ and press play. The extension attaches to the JW Player block in the main page.
- The numeric id is the key. Before a job starts, the id in the address must match the canonical link and the embed address listed in the page's structured data. If one of them disagrees, or the player block is missing, nothing is started.
- The slug is ignored for identification. A recommendation link that adds ?fr=1, or an uploader renaming the title, leaves the id and your subtitles unchanged.
- Pre-roll advertising plays inside the same video element. JW Player flags the player while an ad runs, and the extension does not treat the stream as the film until that flag is gone and the source is no longer an ad address.
- Banners around the page are frames from advertising networks. VJAV is declared to have no player frame, so these frames are not mistaken for the film.
- Clicking another video reloads the whole page. The new page has a new id, so a fresh subtitle session begins and nothing from the previous film is carried over.
Good to know

- Only vjav.com and its subdomains are recognised. No other mirror has been observed, so none is assumed.
- Listing pages such as /videos/latest-updates/1/ have a non-numeric segment where the id would be, so they never get a badge.
Subtitle languages
Choose the target language in the extension: Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish and English are the main ones, and the translation API also supports Chinese, Korean, Thai, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, French, German, Hindi, Arabic and Turkish.
FAQ
Does VJAV have English subtitles?
Not as a reliable option. Some titles may mention subtitles in their name, but there is no consistent English track. The extension generates one from the audio on any title that plays.
Why does the badge wait at the start of a video?
A pre-roll ad is usually playing in the same player. The extension waits until JW Player stops marking the ad, then follows the film itself.
Is a product code in the title used to share subtitles between uploads?
No. On VJAV the slug is free text written by the uploader, so it is not a dependable code. Each upload is tracked by its own numeric id.
Do thumbnails in the related list start anything?
No. Thumbnails carry their own video ids for the recommendation cards, but only the main player on the current watch page is considered.
Does it work on www.vjav.com?
Yes. That address redirects to vjav.com, and subdomains of vjav.com are accepted anyway.
Which target languages can I pick?
English, Indonesian, Spanish and the other languages offered in the extension settings. The audio of most VJAV titles is Japanese.
